Lonneke van Leth Dans is The Hague’s leading youth dance company.
We tell stories through modern dance, often using elements of theatre and film. Our performances stimulate the senses, touch the heart and spark the imagination. We perform more than fifteen different shows. Two new productions are added each year. We have adapted some of our shows into English, German, French or Spanish, enabling us to perform them at international schools.
After a school performance, our dancers have a conversation with the pupils. This helps the pupils make sense of what they have seen and draw connections with their own lives. In dance workshops, the pupils experience the power of dance for themselves. Watching, experiencing, reflecting, trying it out for themselves and presenting form the core of our vision.
Every year, we reach tens of thousands of young people through more than 275 dance performances, over 1,400 workshops and our own summer camp. We are based in The Hague, but we perform all over the Netherlands.
