Lonneke van Leth started as a choreographer after dancing with various companies and productions. In 2002 she created her piece 'Preview' during the Four Steps Forward of the Korzo Theater. Parallel to this, a period of 2 years started at the Generale Oost workshop in Arnhem where she made the theater dance performances 'One Day' and 'Levels'. On the occasion of 'Preview' she received the honorable choreography assignment to open the CaDance festival 2002. In 2004 she received the second prize from the Comet (an incentive prize for young talent in The Hague).
The work of Lonneke typifies itself as narrative, accessible and visual. With her humor and striking music choices, she knows how to enthuse many people for modern dance. Van Leth has been making independent dance productions for young and old since 2009 and was previously associated with Korzo and Theater aan het Spui. She worked for, among others, the Holland Dance Festival, the Nationale Toneel and Toneelgroep De Appel. She also created the choreography for the ensemble in the blockbuster Het Pauperparadijs in the direction of Tom de Ket. In addition to the theater and location projects, she also provides other activities such as the cultural tasting on the water: De Haagse Grachtenpracht and for youth: Het Binckvakantieplan.
